LONDON
London IS the England vacation for many. Many fine self catering accommodations are in the city or within easy commuting distance via public transport. It is a large fascinating city with theaters, shopping, magnificent museums, grand hotels, parks, historic places, the Queen's Horse Guard, London Tower, and many many other features. Taking tea at Brown's Hotel, the Ritz, Fortnum and Mason's, or the Orangerie provide a range of prices from over 100 pounds to around 20 pounds. Our first visit to London as a family was in June of 1972. We did not know until we arrived that we were there during the time of Queen Elizabeth's official birthday celebration. We enjoyed the Royal Parade from the curb across the street from the palace. What a thrill! We typically end an England vacation by staying a few days in London. There are always new plays and sites we have yet to visit. Touring London by bus is a great start. You can cover much territory and decide upon places to return and visit, or just hop off and visit a while and then take another bus. Just keyword LONDON on your computer and you will have access to all the information you need to make your arrangements for a London visit.
